Messy Eco Art Playgroup
w Bec

(Ages 1-5, parent/carer to accompany the child)

Bec's Messy Eco Art playgroup, is all about having fun while being sustainable of course! Activities will be thematically focused to capture the imagination and develop each child's natural connection with nature. The space will be creatively set up with natural and recycled materials, with all art products naturally made with no nasties.

The time spent in the Messy Eco Art playgroup is for slowing down and taking notice, and will be loosely structured allowing for lots of independent play and socialising for bubs and their parents!

There will be lots of opportunities for exciting all the senses to promote wholistic development such as:

Through self development, mindfulness and connection to self and others.

Through exploration of new things to see and do, making meaning, using old things in new ways.

Through artistic forms of expression such as making, dance, drama, sharing, communicating.

Through movement, use of tactile materials, making, touching and getting messy!

Messy Playgroup Educator

About the educator

I'm Bec, mum and nature nut. My little family and I live close to the beach and spend much of our days swimming, surfing, sandcastle building and searching for fun new places to explore. I am in awe of nature and take every chance I get to be in it and explore it.

I'm a professionally trained educator with 12 years experience. My passion lies in guiding children and young people to find their inner voice and have the confidence to embrace their true selves. I believe in the power and the flow of the creative experience in nature to show us we belong to Mother Earth's interconnection of all things. It is comforting to know that if we are open enough to notice this, we will never be alone!

I know the time is now to make our footprints light on this earth and leave it better than when we took our first breath. I want to help my own child and other's children and young people learn that there is hope for our planet now and in the future and that they can contribute to wonderful world full of opportunity.

I strive to be a quality educator who thinks deeply about the creative experiences I offer children and young people, allowing them to be inspired but also have the confidence to tap into their interests and skills to make something unique to them that they feel pride for and ownership of.

My Qualifications Include:

  • Dual Bachelor Degree in Teaching/Arts (12 years experience)

  • University Graduate Certificate in Gifted Education (5 years experience)

  • Green Educator Qualification (2022)

  • 350hr Diploma in Yoga Teaching

  • Working with children check number: WWC1261457E

  • NSW Office of the Children's Guardian Child Safe eLearning course (2023)
